Castle Crash

One slingshot, a few stones and towers full of targets. Judge the power and angle, let go and watch every block fall, roll and break with real physics.

Recommended age: 12 and up

Drag the stone back with your mouse or finger: the dotted line shows the path. Release to launch. You get 3 or 4 shots per level.

How to play

The three materials

MaterialHow it behaves
WoodMedium weight. It cracks when hit and breaks after several impacts.
GlassLight and fragile: it shatters on a direct hit but doesn't fly far.
StoneVery heavy and unbreakable. It won't shatter, but if you tip it over it crushes everything below.

Stars and scoring

Each target is worth 1,000 points, each broken block adds 50 or 100 and every unused shot is worth 500. Clear a level with two or more shots left for three stars. Beating a level unlocks the next one, and your progress is saved in your browser.

Five engineer tips

  1. Hit the base. Break a column at the bottom and everything it holds comes down. A low, hard shot often beats a high one.
  2. Make stone work for you. Stone blocks don't break, but push one over and it lands hard on the targets.
  3. Lob for hidden targets. A target behind a wall is easier to reach with a high arc that drops almost straight down.
  4. Watch the dotted line. It shows the first part of the path. Fine-tune the angle before you let go.
  5. Repeat and compare. If a shot almost works, repeat it changing just one thing: power or angle, not both.

The physics behind it

The game runs on a real physics engine: every block has mass, friction and bounce. The stone follows a parabola, the curve any thrown object traces when only gravity acts on it. That's why a 45-degree shot goes far, a low shot arrives fast and a high shot drops in from above.

You can also see momentum at work: a heavy stone hitting a light block passes on most of its speed, while against a stone block it barely moves it. Seeing it in the game makes school physics click later.

FAQ

Does it work on phones?

Yes. Drag with your finger. On small screens, turning the phone sideways helps.

Is it free?

Yes, free, with no downloads and no sign-up.

How do I start again from level 1?

The game menu has a “Start over” button that clears the progress saved in your browser.

What other games are there?

Try Trick Shot Hoops if you like physics, or Target Range if you prefer aim games. All of them are in games for teens and adults.
