Road Racer
Pick your car, hit the road and dodge cones, oil slicks and traffic while you collect coins and stars. The farther you go, the faster it gets.
Recommended age: 6 to 13 yearsHow to play
- Your car drives on a three-lane road. Each tap or arrow press moves it one lane.
- Dodge other cars and orange cones: every crash costs one life ❤️, and you have three.
- Watch out for oil. Drive over a slick and your car skids into another lane by itself.
- Collect prizes: each coin is worth 25 points and each star 100.
- Your score also grows with distance. Every 500 points the race gets faster.
The three levels
| Level | What it's like | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | Relaxed speed, few obstacles and usually one at a time. | Ages 6 to 8, or first-time players |
| Normal | The road fills up faster and two obstacles can appear together. | Ages 8 to 11 |
| Hard | High speed from the start and very little time to decide. | Ages 11 to 13, and grown-ups who want a challenge |
Five tips to drive farther
- Look ahead, not at your car. Good drivers watch the top of the road to see what's coming.
- Stay in the middle lane when you can: from there you reach either side in one move.
- Don't chase every coin. A coin isn't worth losing a life.
- A star is worth four coins. That one is worth a small risk.
- Use pause. If you get tired or someone calls you, press Pause and the race will wait.
What your child learns
- Reaction time. Spotting an obstacle and choosing a direction in under a second.
- Hand-eye coordination. Turning what they see on screen into a tap or key press at just the right moment.
- Sustained attention. Staying focused while the speed slowly increases.
- Weighing risk. Go for the star or play it safe? Every race is full of small decisions.
- Handling frustration. Crashing is part of the game, and beating their own record shows that practice pays off.
Playing as a family
Hold a "high-score championship": everyone plays three races on the same level and keeps their best score. Write the results down during the week and see who improves the most. With younger kids, a grown-up can call out "cone on the left!" to practice left and right at the same time.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free? Do I need to download anything?
Yes, it's free and runs right in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. No sign-up or install needed.
Is my high score saved?
Yes, the best score for each level is saved on the device itself. If you clear your browser data or play in private mode, the record starts from zero.
How long should kids play?
Races are short, one to three minutes each. We suggest sessions of 10 to 15 minutes, mixed with calmer activities like Memory Match or Island Maze.
Tip for parents: instead of asking "how many points did you get?", ask "what did you do differently in your best race?". It helps your child think about strategy, not just the result.
