Target Range
Step up to the fairground booth: you get 60 seconds, a toy blaster and a limited magazine. Hit bullseyes, bottles, flying clay discs and golden stars, and don't hit the blue sign.
Recommended age: 12 and upHow to play
- Bullseyes, bottles and signs slide along three rails at different speeds. Orange clay discs arc across the screen and golden stars zip along the top.
- Every shot uses one round. When the magazine is empty you need to reload, which takes one second, so it pays to reload before you run dry at the worst moment.
- Each round lasts 60 seconds. Highest score wins.
What each target is worth
| Target | Points |
|---|---|
| Bullseye (edge / middle / center) | 10 / 25 / 50 |
| Green bottle | 20 |
| Clay disc | 40 |
| Golden star | 100 |
| Blue hand sign โ | โ30 (don't shoot it!) |
Every three hits in a row raises your combo: ร2, ร3, ร4, up to ร5. A miss or a hit on the blue sign resets it, so accuracy beats speed.
Three difficulty levels
| Level | What changes |
|---|---|
| Easy | Big, slow targets, a 10-round magazine and few blue signs. |
| Normal | Medium speed, 8 rounds and more clay discs. |
| Hard | Small, fast targets, only 6 rounds and lots of signs to avoid. |
Five sharpshooter tips
- Lead your target. Targets move, so aim slightly ahead of them in the direction they travel.
- Reload in the gaps. When nothing is near the center, reload even if you still have rounds left.
- Go for the center. A center hit on a bullseye is worth five times an edge hit.
- Hit clay discs on the way up. They're easiest early in their arc, while they're still rising slowly.
- Breathe before the star. A golden star is worth 100, or 500 with a full combo. Don't chase it; wait where it's going to be.
What it trains
- Hand-eye coordination: moving the pointer precisely onto a moving object.
- Reaction time and anticipation: judging where the target will be when your shot lands.
- Impulse control: holding fire on the blue sign means stopping a click at the last moment.
- Resource management: deciding when to reload is a small strategy in every round.
